After I read these two different versions of Cinderella, I found there are many similarities and differences between them. First.

英语翻译技巧：
第一、省略翻译法
这与最开始提到的增译法相反，就是要求你把不符合汉语，或者英语的表达的方式、思维的习惯或者语言的习惯的部分删去，以免使所翻译出的句子沉杂累赘。
第二、合并法
合并翻译法就是把多个短句子或者简单句合并到一起，形成一个复合句或者说复杂句，多出现在汉译英的题目里出现，比如最后会翻译成定语从句、状语从句、宾语从句等等。
这是因为汉语句子里面喜欢所谓的“形散神不散”，即句子结构松散，但其中的语意又是紧密相连的，所以为了表达出这种感觉，汉语多用简单句进行写作。而英语则不同，它比较强调形式，结构严谨，所以会多用复杂句、长句。因此，汉译英时还需要注意介词、连词、分词的使用。
第三、拆分法
当然，英译汉的时候，就要采取完全相反的战术——拆分法，即把一个长难句细细拆分为一个个小短句、简单句，并适当补充词语，是句子通顺。最后，注意还需要按照汉语习惯调整语序，达到不仅能看懂而且不拗口的目标。
第四、插入法
就是把不能处理的句子，利用括号、双逗号等插入到所翻译的句子中，不过这种方法多用在笔译里面，口译用的非常少。

首先，我来分享一下我对汉译英的理解。以前，我一直觉得用了很多好词大词的文章就是好文章。现在，自从接触了翻译，我改变原有的观点。大家可以想想，当一篇文章中连续出现“豪情壮志”、“兵刃相见”等四字成语的时候，这无疑给翻译增添了难度，但这却并不会妨碍经验丰富的大翻译家们。可见，好的译文不是一朝一夕就可以练就的。
1.汉语，作为中国人的母语，大家更不能轻视。往往，读懂中文文章的大意决定了译者翻译该篇文章的成功与否。读懂文章大意，不仅可以便于译者决定翻译的情感基调，也为接下来译者把握文章的逻辑性发挥很大的作用。
2.我们都知道，汉语的文章中常常出现重复的现象，而英文中很少出现。对此，在翻译成英文时，可以用代词或有相同特性的单词或短语或词组替换。
3.汉语的官方文章中，往往会出现“积极发展”“彻底消除”等具有重复意义的四字词语出现，那么，在遇见此类情况时，是“发展（发展当然是积极的，所以去掉积极）”“消除（消除当然是彻底的，因此去掉彻底）”
4.如果遇到短的定语时，直接用符合的形容词前置；长的短语，通常采用的是分词结构的形式。有人会问，为什么不用定语从句？不是不能用，只是老外也很少使用冗长的定语从句。而且，现在提倡简明英语，因而用分词结构更符合外国人的习惯，而且句子看上去整洁利索。
1.老外有时候发表观点会用不同的动词，比如“suspect、agree、believe”等等，这一点我们可以在汉译英时拿来借鉴，以免一词重复多次。
2.老外在写某一抽象事物或现象时，都会紧跟在后面对其进行解释，所以不用害怕，照着他们的思维翻译即可。有时候，好的译文与英文原文都会有一定的距离。不要怕，大胆翻译！！总的来说，英汉互译既要忠于原文，又要在一定程度上进行二次创作。英汉互译，要遵循简洁、通顺原则。
