逆境就是一首歌，我们应当静静地倾听；逆境就是一首诗，读懂它你会有更深的感触；逆境就是一面镜子，能让我们更加清楚地看到自己；逆境就是是口井，即使你身陷其中，仰起头来也能看见一方希望的天空。

刚开始读《玻璃城堡》时，我很羡慕作者珍妮特一家能够在旅行中生活，生活中旅行，体验动物的温柔，植物的坚强，当然还有只属于珍妮特的特殊礼物——金星。小时候的珍妮特相信父亲早出晚归，是为了淘金来造城堡，而不是在酒吧赌场流连。渐渐地，珍妮特长大了，她也渐渐明白父亲对于酒精的痴迷已经超越了一切，她开始想要追求自己的玻璃城堡，于是她独自在家旁挖了深达一米多的大洞，却被家人当做垃圾坑，想要粉刷一新自己破旧的家，却被大雪毁得不堪入目。她开始想离开韦尔奇，去纽约，想摆脱对酒精痴迷到极点的酒鬼父亲，宁愿用仅有的钱买巧克力自己吃也不给孩子们买面包的母亲和奶奶厄玛。辛辛苦苦存了半年的钱却被父亲偷去买酒，珍妮特也只能重新赚取。古之立大事者，不惟有超世之才，亦必有坚韧不拔之志。珍妮特凭借这股在逆境之中的毅力，走出了韦尔奇，成为了知名记者。

孟子曰：“故天将降大任于斯人也，必先苦其志，劳其筋骨，饿其体肤，空乏其身，行拂乱其所为，所以动心忍性，增益其所不能。”霍金如果没有遭受疾病，他的思绪就可能不能遨游太空，就不会被尊崇为继爱因斯坦以来最杰出的的理论物理学家；贝多芬如果没有坎坷的命运，九大交响曲就不会震撼一代又一代；海伦凯勒如果没有度过那段无声，无光的寂寞岁月，就不能用不屈的'心，用爱来拥抱这个世界；苏轼没有“黄州惠州儋州”，有怎么发出“一蓑烟雨任平生”的豪放不羁。

这一个个鲜明的例子让我深刻意识到——处于逆境未必是件坏事，在逆境中，只要拥有坚定的志向，不懈的努力，逆境将成为成长的契机，也可能是成功的跳板。

想要看这本书，其实一开始是被它的名字所吸引，我喜欢透明的东西，好像不藏秘密，要多简单有多简单，“玻璃”就是透明的，因此，它激起了我的阅读兴趣，“玻璃城堡”也让我展开了无限的幻想。

说起“玻璃城堡”，我最先想到的还是电视剧《浪漫满屋》中那个爱的小屋。它建在海边，下面一层好像都是用玻璃筑成的，能够十分充分的感受到明亮，享受到阳光。我记得在《玻璃城堡》中，“爸爸”是这样构想他们的小屋的：它将被建在沙漠里，有玻璃的天花板，厚厚的玻璃墙，甚至玻璃的楼梯。在玻璃城堡的顶上有太阳能电池，它能吸收太阳光线并把它们转化成电能，可供加热、制冷……《玻璃城堡》中讲述了作者鲜为人知，与众不同的家庭背景，这与我的想象有些出入，因为我觉得这本书的名字很奇幻，应该是一些想象的内容。初读《玻璃城堡》，会觉得有些可笑，总是马不停蹄的搬家、穿越沙漠，是一件多么耗力而又无趣的事，可仔细品味之后，却感受到能够与家人经历这么多的惊心动魄是多么美妙的一件事。
