书中四人的探险历程惊险刺激，这过程也让我看到了人性的丑恶算计和勇敢担当，不论在何时何地都不要放弃生活的希望和探险的勇气。用约翰勋爵的话来说，'现在生活将重击我，它不会放弃在我身上留下记号。而体育竞赛的风险，小伙计，是生活的精盐。有了它，才有活下去的滋味，我们都有点太软、太迟钝、过于舒适。现在生活给了我一片伟大的蛮荒之地和广阔的空间，我将手里握着一杆枪，去寻找一些有价值的东西。

第一次读甘长铭老师的小说，是一个很偶然的原因。在长江边拉琴唱歌，甘老师高歌一曲《我像雪花天上来》，音色圆润，高亢明亮，干净的嗓音不带一点杂音。充满激情的演唱让我深深地折服。
我和甘老师深入交谈中，得知甘老师常年笔耕不缀。于是我向甘老师提出能否拜读大作。甘老师很爽快地应承了。一个月色如水的晚上，我们在三峡宜昌长江边畔的屈原像下继续拉琴唱歌时，甘老师走来，静静滴坐在一旁。等候大家歌曲联唱表演完毕，在《难忘今宵》的优美旋律里，甘老师取出随身带来的中篇小说。我接过来浏览了一下，工工整整的钢笔行书体，遒劲有力。真是字如其人啊！分手之后，我踏着月光回家，倚在床上就着桔黄色的灯光，一口气读完，意犹未尽，不忍释卷。从心底呼出一个声音：真是一片吸人眼球的好小说。很久没有读到这么新颖的作品。这篇小说《寻找失落的世界》，有一个很独特的书名，故事也引人入胜，其中主人公舒灿和叶丽、郭爽之间的情感纠葛情节跌宕起伏，爱情与利益之间的矛盾冲突尖锐复杂；传统观念与现代理念的冲突，揭示的很到位。
读过一遍，欲罢不忍，还想再读。也许是时间仓促，我读的不够仔细，但是已经感受到小说中字里行间都透露着浓浓的生活气息，那娓娓道来的叙述，像是自己的一个朋友，或者是一个亲人，在述说自己生活中的经历，自己身边发生的故事，没有陌生感，也没有矫柔造作之词，文笔优美，文字清新，有作者细腻的情感，也有对生活的品读和反思，是一篇很不错的作品!
