已经失去的东西拿不回来的，也不必想它了，如果一定为这些无可挽回的事情怨天尤人，那就等于自己打倒自己。
??在单位图书资料室无意中发现了《飘》，这可是我很想看的一本书了，上大学那会觉得原本太长了，自己没去挑战读它，而今有本缩写的版本，终于可以一赌它的风采了，便爱不释手。回家后吃完饭，就钻进被窝里，也不怕胖了，在被窝里，看着窗外的雪花，欣赏着《飘》，享受着生活。
??书中有两个女人的典范——郝思嘉和韩媚兰，告诉我们：不同的女人有不同的征服力，不同的女人有不同的味道，但都有自己别具一格的风味。
??故事一环扣一环、波澜起伏地向前发展。人物的语言绘声绘色。各具特点，显得真切感人。思嘉所经受的，所拥有的家庭、爱情、战争的打击和挫折不是一个普通女人所能经受的。在婚姻上她是失败的，但也许正式因为这种失败，更加突出了在她内心深处那盲目的爱情，从未动摇的爱情。

战争与和平、生与死、爱情，是文学创作中永恒的主题，因为它们之中包含着对人生的思考和体验。而由“畅销书”逐渐成长为经典的《飘》，是这三种元素都具备了的，且由本书拍摄成的电影《乱世佳人》，曾经荣获奥斯卡数项大奖，一九四零年夏初本片在上海上映四十余日，便开了外国影片映演以来未有的记录，由此可见这本书的价值。
关于这本书的主人公郝思嘉，则体现了一个女孩的蜕变过程，她是多变的，她有着父亲的爱尔兰血统，也有母亲的贵族气息。可到底是父亲的狂野、不服输的性格占了上风，郝思嘉在为人处世的过程中，处处显现了她不达目的决不罢休的品性，在这一点上，她的成功是无人能比的。但她究竟是大户人家的女儿，到底是要学一套礼节规范的，于是在种种宴会上，她便极力做出有教养的样子来，可性格上的安静是永远也学不来的。她不像别的上流社会的小姐，心里明明想这样做却不敢表达出来，她敢做敢当，知道卫希里要和韩媚兰订婚了，就找了个机会向卫希里倾诉了自己的衷肠。她要让他明白自己是爱慕他的。可在当时，她这样的举动就要被别人给唾骂了。她却有胆量这样做。
郝思嘉虽说是小说中一个虚构的人物，可我感觉她似乎就存在于我的日常生活之中，而且是那样逼真，是一个有血有肉的人。上帝创造了这样一个矛盾体，放纵、优雅，都在一个人物身上体现，使她那样具有野性的魅力，也难怪小说中无数的男性都被她迷得神魂颠倒了。塑造了这样一个人物，也算是作者密西尔女士的一大成功了。
