中英文具备!!!!!The novel is rich in poetry, symbolism and metaphor. It does not fit easily into a definite pattern, being neither a novel of "manners" in the tradition of Austen, or a straightforward Gothic Romance in the style of Mrs Radcliffe. What Charlotte Bronte did was to create a work which cleverly blends elements of the two styles, and which remains uniquely independent of them at the same time, since it addresses issues which were at the time rather controversial.
The novel is written in the first person, and thus magnifies the central character - the reader enters the world of Jane Eyre and is transported through her experiences at first hand. This at once makes the work subjective, especially since we know that Charlottes Brontes own life and experiences were so closely interwoven with the heroine's. As well as this we learn only at the end of the novel that the events are being related to us ten years after the reconciliation with Rochester - thus the narrative is RETROSPECTIVE (looking back). CB is clever in blending the narrative so that at times Jane seems to be speaking as an adult with adult hindsight , while at others she she is "in the middle" of them, as a child or young woman. The indecision which is a central issue in the book, is heightened by this device. We never know, as readers, whether to be entirely trustful of Janes actions and thoughts, because we are never sure wheher she is speaking impulsively or maturely.
This intensifies the readers dilemma as to what is "right" and "wrong" in the dramatic relationships which are part of JE's life. Can we believe what the heroine says, or is she deceiving herself? The novel is primarily a love story and a "romance" where wishes come true but only after trials and suffering. The supernatural has its place, as do dreams, portents and prophesies. The heroine begins poor and lonely and ends up rich and loved; the orphan finds a good family to replace the wicked one; all the basic ingredients of classic romantic fairytale are present.
简爱的英文读后感
200字左右,高一水平 ,不要太长My own feeling after reading《Jane Eyre》
First of all, I should say that the author’ name was already reverberate like thunder in my mind .But I didn’t knew 《Jane Eyre》 is her work actually.
So today, I’d like to experience this amazing story and also taste
the world famous masterpiece by reading book.
I think, we should clear and definite what type this book is firstly.
But to be honest ,I can’t give you a certain answer by myself ,because I just can’t understand why Jane fall in love with Rochester .To my own opinion ,they are just asking and answering some strange questions all the time .Jane even don’t know many things about Rochester, for example ,his wife , daughter and include his servant.
It’s fall in Love at First sight, maybe. So I could tell you that it is a love story maybe romantic story with a bad grace.
I have askedsome of my friends who have read this book before about how they valuate Jane. They told me she is obstinate, pitiful and beautiful. But to me, exceptobstinate and pitiful, she is always a nice but not beautiful girl .Why she isn’tbeautiful? It’s not necessary. You can imagine a girl who has been experiencedthe suffering, and then a natural temperament will be thrown off. Maybe it’scalled elegance. So you can see she didn’t show any lowliness when she talks toRochester andeven the headmaster of school.
Sometimes I regard sending Jane to theLowood School as a good choice, even thought the strict and grim teachers are there. Because her aunt violates the promise of his husband and always rides roughshod over Jane.
In school, Janemakes a good friend called Helen. Even though there is a cold headmaster, shealso gets many cares from her friends and Miss Temple. But unfortunately, Helen died becauseof the typhus. It’s so hard to Jane for finding a real confidant, but they areapart now.
After eightyears staying at Lowood School, Jane leaves to bea tutor in Thornfield Hall. There she will be staringher legendary life I think when I read to that part.
Just as I say,Jane teaches a girl at Thornfield Hall. At that period she fell in love withthe Thornfield Hall’s host Rochester, suffered bigwigs through weight around her, forgave her aunt who just has onefoot in the grave. But the most important thing is Rochester will get marry.
It’s broke Jane’s heart you know.
Now dram turnsa cycle, because the bride is Jane. Maybe the story will go finish, but thebook still has almost one third left.
Then Rochester’s true wife appeared, and she is so horrible. But she died in a fire which is cause by her finally.By the way, she took the Thornfield Hall and Rochester’s one eye to report to death. AndJane left Rochesteralthough they still love each other.
After all thereexperiences, Jane comes back to Rochester, and they always stay aside each other.
Now a picturethat Jane together with Rochesterand their descendant sit around a stove flashing in my mind.
Think aboutthat Jane, a poor girl before, embraces not only love
but also money finally. I feelthat god just like your uncle, maybe he
will kidding you, but the giftfrom his hands should be presented to you in the end.
