Good morning everyone, today I'm gonna talk about whether it's necessary to remove English subject from National College Entrance Examination. In my opinion, it shouldn't be removed.
The first and foremost reason should be that English has been a commonly used language throughout the current globalization. Without proper knowledge about English and the ability to speak English, it's hard to understand others when it comes to international communication so that we wouldn't be able to have a better cultural exchange. Therefore it's important to learn English, however, if English is removed from the examination, students wouldn't pay much attention nor effort to English study, so it's not a guarantee our students can use English properly when it comes to speaking with the internationals.
Secondly, there are more and more foreign companies in China, if you are able to improve your proficiency in English, then you are going to have a competitive advantage so it will bring a lot more job opportunities on employment wise. All of these can't leave without a motivation to study English, which should be reinforced by the National College Entrance Examination.
In conclusion, it's critical to have English as an individual subject tested in the National College Entrance Examination.

不管大家承认也好 不承认也好 高考已经是当今社会上相对来说最公平的的了···剩下的，考研，考公务员，各种内幕····

高考最大的优势在于公平，如果取消了，一些有权有势的人就会通过特殊手段来干预人才选拔，不利于普通家庭和贫穷家庭的孩子。同时也不利于社会风气和人才选拔。

短期的几年内不会退出，中间可能会改革，减少英语的分值比重。

好多省份都降低分数了，但是最终没有退出高考，是因为亚洲其它国家的学生都在学英文，如果退出高考，那么中国的经济和外交肯定受到影响，所以，最终教育部没有取消高考英语！
